New England Basketball News, Recruiting, Rankings, Videos and Training
Halloween came two days early for some of New England's top prospects in 2014 at the RI Hawks hosted tournament in West Warwick, RI. The tournament hosted a one day round robin style tournament (where all team would play each other with no championship structure) between the NE Playaz, RI Hawks and Babc 16u programs. It was a perfect opportunity for our RANKED players as well as HONORABLE MENTIONS to prove themselves as they would surely meet up against other top players in their class and proved they belonged.
One such player who took this opportunity and ran with it was Fall Rivers, Curtis Cobb. Our first look at Curtis was last year where he came off the deep bench on a loaded Babc national championship freshman team a skinny lanky freshman who showed a pure shooters stroke and not much else. In the absence of probably their programs top two scorers Damion Smith and Wayne Selden, Curtis scored a team high 18 points to lead his team to a 55-52 win over a strong New England Playaz team. Not only did Curtis perform well he did this while being guarded by our former #3 Kahari Beaufort and finishing over a huge front line that included 6'9 Colin McManus , 6'7 Aaron Falzon , 6'8 Jared Reuter and 6'8 Jacquil Taylor. Curtis has now moved up to our #5 scoring guard in 2014 in our 2014 RANKINGS and is poised for huge high school breakout season. The video above show cases his tremendous showing, more videos and updates coming soon....
How much does Curtis game resemble former Babc Combo Guard Micheal Carter Williams? Or is it just the look?
